Harmony House

Ts’oodun Be ‘Unt’oh Yoh

(Translates to House for Mother with Child in Dakelh).

Land Acknowledgement

We want to acknowledge that we are situated on the traditional and unceded territory of the Lheidli T’enneh. Harmony house is located in Northern BC, where the Fraser and Nechako Rivers meet in Prince George. We serve as a hub for numerous outlying remote and rural communities. We are grateful to be able to walk this healing journey on theses lands with the families at Harmony House.

Harmony House strives for good relations with Lheidli T’enneh members. We will leave this land better then we found it.

Traditional protocol was followed to request permission from the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation to conduct this work of reconciliation on their territories was granted.

Chief Dolleen Logan was present at the grand opening of our new building in June of 2024.

Our Mission

Harmony House is supportive housing for women who are pregnant or newly parenting. Harmony House holds safe space, encouraging women to overcome life challenges. We embrace family as sacred. We walk beside our mothers in their journey to offer tools to enhance wellness. Harmony House honours women helping women, family continuity, and community connections. We seek transformational experiences, one family at a time.

Our Vision

Harmony House dances in both worlds of Indigenous and Western ways of knowing. Harmony House respectfully collaborates with community partners and stakeholders. We intend to ensure that our offering at Harmony House can be duplicated across Turtle Island. Harmony House strives to be a center of excellence for delivering (w)holistic perinatal care in Northern British Columbia.
